This year’s AWME will showcase a diverse line-up of the finest roots music in Melbourne across three days this November 12 – 14.

Proudly in its eighth year, AWME will gather music industry specialists, conference speakers and a diverse array of musical acts.

AWME is proud to announce the second round of artists for the 2015 program. Indie-folk raconteurs Skipping Girl Vinegar (pictured above) whose third album is already being touted as one of the albums of 2015 and Cash Savage & The Last Drinks will be gracing the AWME stage after rocking their signature brand of country and blues at festivals throughout Europe. Three-time ARIA award-winning folk-roots outfit The Audreys join the list, alongside ‘the one to watch’ storyteller HOWQUA and the irresistible fresh grooves of Pirra.

Jess Ribeiro will showcase her folk-country flavour; singer-songwriter John Bennett will perform with multi-instrumentalist David Hyams; Yirrmal showcases a new generation of Indigenous Australian artists; New Zealand’s Latinaotearoa will bring their irresistible blend of Latin soul & funk; The Meltdown introduce their soul revival while The Seven Ups blend Afrobeat with street funk as one of Melbourne’s favourite party bands.

AWME presents a diverse public festival event, and creates a platform for Australian musicians to meet and access industry professionals. In previous years, AWME has been directly responsible for creating new touring and festival engagements, international performances, media coverage, publishing and many other career-building activities for Australian artists.
